HIGH-TECH FIBRE
Natural superfine Merino wool is the most high-tech fibre there is. It remains unparallelled for its insulating ability, its breathability, its adaptability, its versatility in all kinds of conditions, and above all its wonderful comfort. Chemical corporations have spent billions of dollars in research and development over many decades, trying to develop synthetic fabrics that mimic qualities that Merino has naturally. You might have seen ads in sports and adventure wear catalogues for fancy expensive performance garments made from the latest technological fabric invention. The incredible features they promise (usually identified by scientific-sounding code names) include things like 'microscopic membranes that create a hydroliphic/hydrophobic micro-porous system' to stop water getting in yet allow perspiration out. We're not going to try and bamboozle you with this sort of jargon, because we've got nothing to prove - wool does that anyway, it's always done it, and it will continue to do it, without all sorts of mysterious additives and industrial processes.
