wearwoolf 1
| I guess I grew up with wool in my blood. My family has been involved in the Australian wool industry for well over a century. However I've taken my own fairly circuitous route to this business. I trained as an architect, and practised for a while in the late 80s before I was distracted towards my true love - music. For the past 15 years I worked in music retail and label management, 11 of those running my own business. But with 2 kids in primary school, and time marching on, I felt it was time to do something that would benefit them in the long term. |

wearwoolf 2
| Steve has worked at the cutting edge of
environmental education for 25 years! In 1988 he
co-founded Vox Bandicoot with Frank Ryan, an
organisation that brought animals in their habitats and
performance into the lives of kids throughout Australia,
providing rich and meaningful environmental experiences
to tens of thousands of school children over more than a
decade.
As Conservation Officer in Manningham Council in the early 90s Steve developed an Environmental Management System that made Manningham the first city council in the world to initiate an integrated, systematic and certified environment policy. Since then he has been both President and CEO of Environs Australia the local government environment network, encouraging local governments throughout Australia to realize the many positives in becoming more environmentally responsible. Steve was so impressed by the simplicity and significance of the wearwoolf concept that he has come on board, both to advise and facilitate our interaction with schools. Steve believes that wearwoolf is part of the developing wave of organizations that will help people to make consumer choices that not only improve their quality of life, but will also help manifest a sustainable world, one where the value of the environment is constantly reinforced through every thing we do. Caring for the environment should not only make you feel good, it should make you look good too, and wearwoolf products feel great! Choosing a wearwoolf garment means you are choosing to look after the planet and all its inhabitants. |
